As promised...

So can we assume it's finished now? Some of us got heat for complaining of how unfinished it looked during the "soft opening".

I was there again this weekend and it was certainly not finished if you consider the second level event space being drywalled off, the cafe still an empty shell and the wall finishings being bare. The lower half of the "92" sticker was finally removed. Progress!

Thanks! They are also beginning to advertise a Winter Market in December which I imagine will go here as well as on Market Street.

Has there been word of the Sunday Antique Market moving?

guaranteed that 'cafe' space is going to end up being a permanent storage/hoarding space for this building once they realize it's been under-designed. just wait...
I fear you are right and it will be joined by the "Seniors' Space' on 2nd floor as Real Estate Services have no idea of how to run such a thing (and has no funding to do so) and I doubt PFR (who runs others, including one at the Community Recreation Centre on The Esplanade) is not apparently interested in another in St Lawrence. The 2nd floor restaurant is also not certain, RES has certainly not found an operator for it either.

Lazy designer. Draw one half, cut & paste to make the second (including the tree). Absolute shite.
The love and care I put into my commercial artwork for my clients...

...and stuff like this seems to make my efforts for not. I am not sure I am the only one that feels that way. /sigh

I also have design in my background.

Bad kerning alone stabs me in the heart. Crap like this makes me want to cry.

For every designer who's had to deal with forty painful revisions only to end up capitulating to "The Boss' Version", there's crap like this from The Boss' nephew that gets zero critical eye.

I'm leaning to thinking this is AI slop. Look at the 4th panel on the right side of the building that clearly doesn't follow a perspective line, and the ridiculous floating CN tower top in the background that looks like an upside-down microphone. Would a human draw that?

Though I agree the poster is not great art, it is a POSTER announcing the opening of a building that is MUCH better than what it replaces (if not as good as it could/should be). The outrage around here can get a tad tiresome on occasion. Let's celebrate that the North Market is FINALLY opening!

Actually the poster is a perfect metaphor for this project - good to have one, but compromised by the lack of care.
