They are opening things in phases in the western section of the park . First (soon) will be access to the new shuttle dock, then to the Atlas Crane area which I think they expect to open up by mid-late June and then the area they are moving earth around in which may be in the fall.

I don’t know if it’s due to climate change but the rate of growth of the tree canopy in the nearby Tommy Thompson park in the last 5 years has been impressive

Was surprised to see this guy as close up on land as he was. Wonder how acclimated they’re becoming to humans. Also, notice the water level. Makes me wonder if this entire back area would have been covered over after one of those major storms we’ve had in recent years.

Also, can someone get me these feeds. I too would like to monitor.

Maybe it's the "Don at Dundas - Don River and Portlands" camera HY079. It seems to swivel and update with new images every few minutes. This would be the logical site to monitor ice build-up.

I was there on Friday with a grade 1 field trip and the kids had an absolute blast. Someone from TRCA did an hour of games/lessons, then they played on the playground, mostly the water area and the zip lines. The shade is still lacking, and I got a sunburn on my head, but the trees are filling in a little bit.

Levels in general seem really high in the lake right now. Water was coming over the dock at H20 park on the weekend & the breakwaters were completely submerged at the eastern beaches.
