This whole project is such a gem, and has got to be one of, if not the best public works projects in the cities history. I love the care given to vantage points and the integration of a bit of the areas industrial heritage.

This little one was being attacked by another Blackbird and flew over to me for help.
After waving the other Blackbird away, this one followed me through the entire park, always 10 meters or less away.
Then, as I walked out of the park, gave a few loud chirps, flew close and then went back into the park.

Agreed, I’m just not looking forward to a couple thousand residents moving in and treating it like their personal off-leash dog park. I had no idea it was getting bordered by development both north AND south (North I knew)

Thankfully we’re at least a decade away from anyone possibly living there. Imagine how peaceful the parks will be with all the residential construction though…
