Kind of wild they're only doing that now. No way any construction actually starts there within 10 years.

An RFQ doesn't take that long.

The target is to open the first housing block in 2031/32. That will be a challenge but its do-able. If the first block is held for completion of the WELRT, maybe a bit longer.

We're talking about Waterfront Toronto. They will find a way to delay and underdeliver. Will the LRT be ready by 2031? Why would anyone live there if there aren't any schools or stores?

I do not think anyone has yet posted the proposed Draft Plan of Subdivision - coming to TEYCC in July. I was pleased to see that the (public) promenade along south side of Keating Channel will run from the Don to just west of Cherry (and the new bridge).

We'll be able to use our walkers to use the promenade in 2040, maybe.

Yes, Rome and Toronto are not built in a day.
Typical Canadian indifference. You should be outraged that your tax dollars are being used by Waterfront Toronto. Their administration keeps giving themselves raises and bonuses while projects are always delayed and scaled back. They should be held accountable.

Why would we build a school, and why would anyone open a business, in a place no one lives?
Why would anyone want to live somewhere with no public transit or facilities. And the park will be disrupted by construction for decades. Not that nice of a place to live. Even the nice views of the city from the park will be blocked by residential towers.

Only partially, the tallest and most prominent towers will still be on full display.
