I think the 72 now terminates @ Commissioners & Saulter 7-days a week all year now. Though I too would find it useful if it looped at Munition Street, the 114 is quite regular and a good way to go further west.

Correct. I see the 72 bus all the time parked on Saulter at the end of their route before they loop back. I don't think there has been a single day that I have not seen a bus parked there.

Route Page here:

It appears these changes occured in May 2024, when they created the 114 route to service Ookwemin:

That said, it's actually a 7-10 minute walk to the park trail on the east side of the park, from where the 72 bus loops back. I've literally timed the walk out of curiosity. But you could switch buses to the 114 since both the 72 and 114 routes and loops run parallel on Commissioners. An extra step but if you don't want to walk, that would be the way to do it from the 72.

For a while last summer when the Park first opened they continued the 72 almost to Cherry (it looped at Munition and Ookwemin): This from TransitToronto

The Keating Channel Pub & Grill is still open
Can also recommend Cherry Street BBQ (unless you're vegan). Its building has a heritage designation, so unless construction drives customers away, it should survive.

Hopefully the Keating Channel Pub can relocate into a new building as construction progresses.

The food is good at the BBQ but it's pricey as well. The Pub & Grill is much more affordable.

Unfortunately, when I went to the BBQ with a friend a year ago, his pulled pork sandwich meat was cool to the touch. I think it hadn't been fully reheated (likely from being stored in the fridge, I would guess). I even grabbed a piece from his sandwich and it was definitely cool to the touch.

So, the Michelin Star BBQ is not a perfect place but my meal was perfectly fine. The lady serving the food was amazing as well. I am curious to see if it stays busy after all the construction is done. A lot of construction workers eat and drink there.

It's a hot spot in the summer. There are sports fields, sailing clubs and the beach nearby. Not to mention Rebel and now the park. I imagine business will be booming once the park is fully open and thriving

Sorry to be pedantic but that’s *bib gourmand*, not a Michelin star. In my one experience, the meats were decent, a bit dried out, and sauces weren’t remarkable. The frito pie was great though, easy to recommend as a quick take-out snack for those passing through the area.

I don’t know many BBQ alternatives in Toronto to compare with, Breakwall in the beaches is just okay, Northern Smokes near highland creek is pretty good. My number one favourite is Southern Junction just past the Peace Bridge into Buffalo.

We're definitely spoiled for BBQ in Toronto. You just need to know where to look. :)
