The question might be 'What political decisions were made to override any reviews, procedures or questions viewed as negative of the proposal as asked by Ministry Staff'?https://archive.is/ro7WF
As I said in the thread about the not-going-to-happen entertainment/e-sports venue at Exhibition Place, I don't understand how government officials can be so naive that they can be duped by big talkers with some renderings, and somehow forget to look into the important matter of whether the proponents actually have the money to build what they are proposing.
Does that mean this thing may never get built, stop part way through, or at best get completed in some very diminished form that has little resemblance to what they promised?
Edit: If the proponents were falsely pretending to be something they weren't, and pretending to have assets/money they didn't, shouldn't that result in some kind of criminal fraud charges?
The main sting of it all has mostly worn off after dozens of flights there....it must be hard to fly one of those drones and take quality pics with, while the subject matter makes the heart sink. >.<

May I ask how your drone flies that close to the airport? I heard that drones have geo blocks that prevent flying within a certain distance of an airport.
Micro-drones are allowed in the blue circle, which is called an authorization zone, but not in the red rectangle.
They do have such blocks, however micro-drones (sub-250g) are allowed by Transport Canada to fly much closer.

I agree. I have maps of the flight paths on my phone to make sure I'm clear of them.Interesting that there aren't blocks for the helicopter flight paths to the hospitals.
Thanks for that explanation. I may join you in flying the Toronto skies. I've been considering a drone but with blocks on airports and helipads that I've read about, that would've excluded literally anywhere in Toronto. The sub-250g exemption clears that up for me.
and now the entrance building for the bridge to the pods is demolished and removed.

Oh yea that reminds me, You remember that group that tried to sue to stop Ontario Place?I was about to say "who's the jackass who already tagged the newly refurbished pods?" You got me @kotsy
With this barren land, I just want them to get on with building this damn spa. I'm fully aware that this was Ford's angle all along, cut down the forest, clear the buildings so there's. nothing to save and the resistance to this virtually disappears. Honestly, I haven't heard about the Ontario Place for All folks for a while now.
When does this get going? Are there permits taken out to build it?
