The beach configuration shown here matches what I remember from the community meetings. Sand in the new beach within the western bay, an extended southwestern promontory and, I assume, the "armour" areas were hidden under the large stepped rocks the renders showed on the north side.

You give Ontario voters way too much credit. There have been so many reasons to turf Doug the Thug over the years and yet he keeps getting reelected by a landslide with 4% turnout.
4% turnout? So you're saying 400,000 people voted and Ford got elected with 200,000 votes (50%)?

From CTV in 2022...

"While the Progressive Conservatives may have won a sweeping victory Thursday night, a large majority of Ontarians decided not to bother heading to the polls.

The province recorded the lowest voter turnout in history during the 2022 election, with just about 43.5 per cent of eligible voters casting a ballot according to preliminary Elections Ontario results.

Of the just over 10.7 million registered voters in the province, this equals just over 4.6 million votes cast."
