While I'm strongly pro- both east and west extensions, I think the west extension should even take priority over east because of the benefits it would have (connection to Wilson & tying line 1 together).

a) A connection to Wilson

b) A completely new dedicated subway yard.

From a Metrolinx recruitment event today - note the drawing for Line 4. Is this potential indication that an eastward-only extension has been preferred and the interchange with Line 2 would be at Sheppard/McCowan?

This is the same image they've basically been showing off for the last 4 years or so in all of their open houses and whatnot. I wouldn't give this too much credence.

No - this is what they've been showing on any non-consultation figure for years. (and surely demonstrates the fix is long in).
