Stony Plain and Spruce Grove have probably doubled in population since the first interchanges were built, and Acheson has grown a hell of a lot.
If you look at the project timeline, it says that stretch (St Albert Tr to 97 St) is to be completed in 2027. I believe the 66 St area is currently slated to start and finish in 2026.![]()
Upcoming Yellowhead Trail reductions to stay in effect until freeway conversion is done in 2027
Starting Saturday, more Yellowhead Trail traffic reductions will come into effect and last until 2027.www.ctvnews.ca
This statement is disconcerting, “the segment from St.Albert Tr. to 97 St will be the last to be completed.” So NO 66 St work then?
It's going to be an interim right-in right-out; the overpass will be done down the road separately. No idea what that'll mean for active modes of transportation though.Gee whiz...what can they possibly build during 1 single construction season? Guess 66th is only getting a curb/gutter replacement and that's all......
Man, just finish the project now and be done with it.It's going to be an interim right-in right-out; the overpass will be done down the road separately. No idea what that'll mean for active modes of transportation though.
No need to relocate that building. The right turn lane can be used for a shoulder and 66th Street will be shifted westward. Redseal and Nella West will need to go thoughThere's also the huge Trenton Cold Storage building on the NE corner of Yellowhead/66 St. Relocating that monster would be a logistical nightmare.
