Fort Road was widened with an additional lane in each direction. The detour for drivers is about a km.

Well, this is what happens when money needs to be saved. At the very least there should have been a flyover for 66th Street. Access would have been Limited as it is right now in the plan but at least access north south wouldn't have been completely cut off. That's why on one of my previous posts I said that there should at least be a pedestrian bridge going over top of yellowhead
