From the capital projects update (bolding mine):

Marigold Infrastructure Partners (MIP) completed the 2025 accelerated work plan. Other works continue to progress along the alignment, including trackwork, signals, systems, stops and stations, the Lewis Farms storage facility, and Gerry Wright Operations and Maintenance Facility. MIP has achieved 61% progress, as of the end of December 2025, as measured by the Independent Certifier. Marigold has adjusted their completion date based on progress achieved to the end of December 2024, which has resulted in the projected schedule variance. The first LRV manufactured by Hyundai Rotem Company (HRC) was shipped from Korea and arrived in Edmonton on July 30, 2025. The LRV is currently stored in Gerry Wright Operations and Maintenance Facility A, awaiting further testing and commissioning. Manufacturing of the remainder of the LRV fleet is continuing in Korea with the next set of vehicles will continue over the next 24 months.

Did anyone happen to go to the Canada soccer game on Monday and use the Valley Line? I'm curious how it handled crowds after the game. I was on the Valley Line around 18:00 and it did get busy, but they still had peak frequencies, and they were running more or less maximum cars. I wasn't going to the game itself, but was lurking around for a bit. That meant I didn't stick around for the crowds at the end of the game, but it seems the VLSE went down to their usual 10 minute evening service, but with all 2 car trains. I forgot to check the Davies park and ride on my home as I was curious how many people had made use of it.
On my NB trip, while we did get a large number of passengers at Davies, I was quite impressed with how many boarded at Bonnie Doon (maybe less of a surprise) but certainly Strathearn was more than I thought I would see.
I heard there might have been some confusion around the Churchill - Stadium shuttles that were running. I'm not sure what it was entirely, if it was not enough buses, or some didn't realize the buses were running. The passengers on my train did well migrating to the buses rather than the Capital Line.
It seems to me rather than just advertising them as Churchill or Downtown shuttles, ETS should outright describe them as Valley Line shuttles. And while I did see ETS personal around. I don't recall seeing anyone at the surface level directing people to the shuttle buses. Hell, maybe have buses staged on 99 St as well as 100 St so is very easy to see the shuttle buses right near both entrances to Churchill when you get off the Valley Line.

That day did not go well for the Capital or Metro Lines. Just so much bad luck seemed to happen. The less people trying board at Churchill the better! But even on a good day it seems like it would be asking a lot of the Capital Line to take on a 2 car load of passengers from the Valley Line.

While I went into Churchill myself to see how it was looking, I quickly realized it wasn't good and sure enough, the next NB that came in couldn't pick up a single person it was already that full. I went to Central, figuring I'd observe the next NB and attempt to board, before cancelling that idea before the NB even arrived. With the gap in service I knew the next train would be packed. Went to catch a SB to Corona, figuring I'd try there or try a route 2. Instead, I lucked out and the next SB at Central was emptied out and sent north to help clear Churchill. Perfect.
