We essentially are one big mega city you zoom out on a satellite map it's all one continuous expanse of concrete, homes and businesses. You remove the city names on the map and anyone who didn't know any better would think this is just one big city and will become even more so over time.

Hamilton will probably continue to maintain a stronger, independent identity from the rest of the GTA just by nature of it being geographically separated from the rest by the Hamilton Harbour. That being said, I generally agree that the region is moving toward the blurring of lines between the constituent municipalities of the GTA/GTHA and it has been closely resembling a single massive city for a while now.

Every time I look at satellite images of this area, I can't help but laugh at how ridiculous it is there's only 1 terrible NHL team for all those hockey fans.

There's more population in this circle then all of Alberta and they have 2 teams.

Based on the IG story for the profile above, the old score board has been removed.
The question is, was it temporarily removed for the renovation and be put back again... or will it be replaced?
I haven't heard anything about a new scoreboard.

Doesn't the lacrosse team that plays in this stadium say they are from 'Toronto'?
yes. they're Toronto Rock and their uniforms show that and the scoreboards still show "TOR v xxx" In the stadium though, they seem to refrain from calling them the Toronto Rock. They pretty much call them Rock City over the speakers etc.

i haven't seen any concerts that say "toronto" on the poster but it's actually in Hamilton. Even Blackpink who performed in Hamilton had it labeled correctly. the only thing i can think of is PLAY Airlines launching out of Hamilton. They promote that as "Toronto"

The last time I noticed a Hamilton-Toronto redirect was on Bill Cosby's popular stand up "Himself", which was filmed at Hamilton Place.
The back of the VHS and DVD covers state: "... heart-warming concert at Toronto's Hamilton Place Performing Arts Center".

There are other examples. Pakistan's HUM Awards were held in Hamilton twice recently and they exclusively referred to it as Toronto.

Hoping to start hearing more concerts and events getting announced. Great to see those big acts already announced and I am sure the whole place won't be fully ready come the 21st of November, so sure other works will be ongoing past the grand opening.

New fearure entrances I hope. They should have expanded the footprint at Bay /York and did one there.

It's not easy to tell, but I wonder if the photo above shows studs going closer to the edge of the overhangs? At least the two along the Bay St. side (not the corner). Could just be closed off to create more space for construction though.

Whereas before, those were open to the sidewalk: https://maps.app.goo.gl/768HVfTkmh3YPXP69

I'm going to guess the interior layout will be very different, so essentially new entrances.
