LOTS of people were fishing today. These two teenagers in particular were intensely focused...

And one of the benches are already broken on the east bridge. That didn't take long...

And Munition(?) Street is now fully accessible to cars from Commissioners Street to Villiers Street...

Nothing could make me hate the new CIBC towers except for the crude way they’ve permanently obstructed the view of the CN tower from the east. Hate it. Hate it in the face.

sorry if this is a dumb question or has been answered, but i'm having trouble distinguishing the playground in biidaasige park from the other plans for ookwemin minising. Is Playpark (the destination playground) separate or is this part of it. Thanks.

I tried to find if there was a forum post on UT about the PlayPark. Nothing is coming up and/or it might have been discussed in another forum. However, here is the Waterfront Toronto Page on the PlayPark. Spoiler: It looks amazing and makes me want to be a kid again. Based on the rendering, it kinda looks like it will be right beside Canoe Cove but I could be wrong.

Edit: From December 2022. Yah it's right beside Canoe Cove. Another article from Waterfront Toronto

BTW, just after crossing Lake Shore Blvd on Friday, heading back into the city from Ookwemin Minising. A curious little one popped its head out and came towards me but then got scared and "sorta" hid in the bushes but also didn't run away. I think the little one was trying to get across Lake Shore Blvd, to get to the Island. I wish they trusted me enough to let me carry them across the street and over to the park.

Side note: This is one of the things that REALLY bothers me about Lake Shore Blvd. All the lanes make it very difficult for wildlife to cross without getting run over.

There is another destination playground that is waiting for funding that will go to the southwest of Cherry/ Commissioners.
Is it still awaiting funding? I thought it's planned to open next year as part of Biidaasige phase 2.
