Wondering when the first building will be officially started? Perhaps in here somewhere?

There was Toronto Notice Signage up along Commissioners for a development but it was getting covered over by bushes this year. It's just east of the Cherry Street Pub on the north side of Commissioners. I can't seem to find the photo I took of it and it might already be posted somewhere on the UT forum.

There was also a gentlemen on a house boat last summer that had a discussion with me about the same property as well. He was part of some meeting about it but i was not certain if it was a public town hall or a private town hall for local residents. Anyway, I suspect that will be the first property built.

Taken 2 July.
•new n-s road going in east of Old Cherry
•fire hall coming along
•sample drilling on a property that I don’t believe has an application yet

From your picture on the 2nd to 2 days later, they are working fast. I can practically see this street done by Monday if they work through the weekend. Curb is essentially done and they are more than halfway done with the sidewalks...

Here is the signage I was talking about. I think this will be the first development completed on the island. It's certainly the only lot with signage that has been up for years at this point.

that's this project

That's the one. I just google UT and 309 Cherry and it popped up lol. I wonder if the street they are working on right now will be Foundry Street, which would frame this specific development lot. The street is on the other side of the warehouses just outside their lot area though. I guess we will know soon enough.

I should have just asked one of the construction workers if they knew what the name of this street was. They were standing right there as I passed by.

I cycled past about same time - LOTS of work going on - assume they want to take advantage of good weather and get things tidied up by 17th. I thought the old warehouse on west side was being demolished, I guess tat's to come.

It is the rebuild of Munition Street - on approx same footprint.

Some pics of Munition Street, Villiers Street area from today.

1. Area east of Munition, north of Commissioners. Looks like the laying out of a parking lot to me!

2. More on the Munition Street sidewalk - both sides 95% done to about mid-point on Munition between Villiers and Commissioners.

3. Area on east side of Munition, just north of Villiers. (further north than the already graded 'parking lot' - more parking lot?

4. Villiers St east of Munition - this is the dead-end section.

Munition Street looks excessively wide for a side street from that photo. Hard to tell but it looks like it could be 12m wide or more.
