Munition Street, Tuesday evening.
That was quite the storm on Tuesday.
Upon your visit, did you notice if they’ve retained the big maple trees along Munition St.?Munition Street, Tuesday evening.
Or, better still the long-promised QQE streetcar so people can get there on public transit!!Wow huge difference seeing it green instead of just dust.
Also i like how far apart the bike lanes and sidewalks are. They won't have the same issue Harbourfront suffers from where everyone is in each other's way.
Now they just need some parking lots!
Looks like you found a new CN Tower keyhole! At least until phase 3 of One Yonge is completed
Was there today and the piles of gravel partly blocking the Don in the @Radaner photo, reproduced below, have all gone today (or else the water is MUCH higher!) Not sure it has all gone from below the water level but ....
Though I certainly agree that the QQE line will almost certainly be built in phases and that many of us may never see the QQE LRT going past Cherry Street and QQ, but, I think the current plans are for it to go south on Cherry to Commissioners and then turn east (on the new green area) and loop back via Munition Street or one of the other streets WEST of the Don. I have heard no serious plans to bring the line across the Don (south of the Lemon Bridge) and to the proposed Broadview extension or to Leslie Barns any time in the foreseeable future (though both seem like good ideas to me!April 30
Part 2
A lot of us will be gone if and when the LRT gets to the area as well the 2 extensions. I don't see the extension to the south until 2050-70 if it happens at all. The Commissioner extension to the east maybe done in 2 phases with one phase connecting to the new Broadview extension for East Harbour around 2050. At the current rate, we will be lucky to see the line to the area by 2035 and a timeframe I noted almost a decade ago.
A wye will have to be built at some future date that will require the future LRT line to be close to build it and a impact on traffic then.

When they do build the LRT, one hope a grass ROW is built to replace the current ROW area already grass.

This looks to be the spot where the loop will be on the northside that will require a new bridge over the Mouth of The Don that will have to be assembly to the east of the river as one piece and walked into position across the river barges to be set into position.
