Later this afternoon - the rest of the cladding shipment skids delivered this morning are now staged for installation along the King Toronto south property line.

July 13 and an overview of the King Toronto cladding status with the next week about to start.

Installation of the cladding finally got underway with the replacement supplier about September 24, 2024. Installation of the first level was quite slow, with an approximate one month pause in the January 2025 period due to lack of product from the supplier (delay originally attributed due to the very cold January weather, but apparently that was not the case, it was due to supplier issues). So after almost ten months, cladding Levels 1 and 2 are complete. Cladding Level 3 is almost complete, at least as can be seen around the perimeter of the building. At this point, three visible gaps remain on Level 3, shown in the following photos:

1. South Facade, facing Wellington Street:

2. King Street Facade, East Side by East Courtyard Entrance:

3. King Street Facade - West Side by Driveway Ramp Entrance:

There may possibly be one or more missing Level 3 cladding sections within the courtyard, not visible from the perimeter of the building.

Either way, hopefully there would not be more than a few days work to complete the Level 3 cladding, and start on Level 4 - at which point all the really large, heavy and unwieldy cladding sections will have been installed, and the cladding sections for the remaining should be more manageable, and hopefully faster to install than what has transpired to date.

July 14 - Major News - Westbank is no longer involved with the King Toronto project. Allied Reit has acquired Westbank's 50% interest in the project and now owns it completely. - presumably with the bulk, if not all of the compensation to Westbank consisting of elimination of debt owing from Westbank to Allied.

This morning, the hoarding along King Street was repainted in Allied Reit green, and the signage which had indicated King Toronto being a joint Allied / Westbank project was partially taken down, removing the Westbank name - photo below.

First - a photo of a worker installing a cladding section in the gap of the Third Level cladding beside the driveway at the north-west corner of the building. Followed by the signage which has been been half taken down, removing the Westbank name. After that - sections of the newly repainted King Street hoarding in the Allied green colours.

@Paclo - you may wish to update the King Toronto database entry to show Allied as the developer to replace the current Westbank entry.

Wow that's HUGE news! Crazy

Well... Allied have responded to our inquiry and they deny that Westbank is no longer a partner in the KING Toronto development, end of statement. I am still looking for more information on the point of the hoarding repainting and the removal of Westbank logos. Will follow up when we get more info.

The only Toronto property listed on the Westbank website is Mirvish Village and they just sold off Shangri-La hotel and retail space in downtown Vancouver tower to Brookfield. SEE: https://www.msn.com/en-ca/money/top...=1&batchservertelemetry=1&noservertelemetry=1
