I can’t believe I have to ask this but is there still testing on the line as of today or yesterday?
Can’t make any assumptions !

Steven Del Duca is no longer a provincial cabinet minister. They should do a celebratory inauguration forallsome of the benches.
I have a feeling they won't wait to open this line. They will open it as soon as they can so that they can start wiping the egg off their faces.Winter is too icy, better open in the spring.
Spring is too muddy, better open in the summer.
Summer is too hot, better open in the fall.
Fall is too busy with students, better open in the winter.

He would still be the best person to announce the opening of the Crosstown line. There's no one who can drum up excitement like him.Steven Del Duca is no longer a provincial cabinet minister.
Harris? The one that canceled the Eglinton Subway? He would still be the best person to announce the opening of the Crosstown line. There's no one who can drum up excitement like him.
Actually while the province is at it, they should call up Mike Harris and have him at the opening. He played a monumental role in ensuring the completion of this timeless project. I actually even think they should rename the line after him, he's such a quality human being.
Clearly I am.Harris? The one that canceled the Eglinton Subway?
Please, tell us you are joking.
Meh, his son will be in the background as a clapping seal, no doubt, despite having zero connection to this project..He would still be the best person to announce the opening of the Crosstown line. There's no one who can drum up excitement like him.

(https://urbantoronto.ca/forum/threads/sheppard-line-4-subway-extension-proposed.20503/page-385)A high capacity line north of Bloor that moves people laterally is simply non-negotiable for Toronto's future. As I've said, when people experience Eglinton LRT for themselves they will instantly realize it is neither high capacity, nor is it pragmatic in any sense of the word. Eglinton will be an extremely slow line that will be plagued with delays due to sharing the road with vehicular traffic. LRT can work in quaint t2, t3 European cities, but not in North America. Many people will try to argue with me on this, but all I can respond with is: "Wait, and see for yourself."
How long does it take now, by current options?(https://urbantoronto.ca/forum/threads/sheppard-line-4-subway-extension-proposed.20503/page-385)
I calculated the actual travel time to be about 50 minutes from Mount Dennis to Kennedy. York University to Union on Line 1 (under ideal conditions) is scheduled to take 38 minutes for 19km. There is no way 19km of Line 5 with ~8km of surface running will take the 38 minutes as advertised. Assuming the same speeds as Line 2 in the tunnel section, 20km/h surface speeds or no traffic bus speeds (Google Maps) we'd be looking at 45-55 minutes.
probably compared to rush hour pre pandemic gridlock combined with signal priority. How long does it take now, by current options?
The thing to remember is that they advertised that the new Eglinton LRT line will be 60% faster.

The Globe and Mail has an article on the Line 5 Crosstown today. Nothing major new that I can see, but a good summary of it and the problems.
Metrolinx has long been criticized for its lack of independence from the government, and the control Queen’s Park exerts over its ability to communicate. In early October, Dakota Brasier, a spokesperson for the Transportation Minister, acknowledged to The Globe that to avoid yet more negative headlines, for several days she barred Metrolinx from responding to media inquiries about whether Eglinton’s final 30-day revenue test had actually started on time.
