Could be raw image size in Mb.
That happens with me. My S25 Ultra takes 200 MP pictures.
Unfortunately at that resolution the pics are between 20 and 50 Megabytes.

Yes.Do you know if it's related to the trains themselves or perhaps the track/signals?
Some context for what's in the big red box at bottom right of the picture:![]()
‘Denied and obfuscated’: Ford government forced to release Eglinton LRT, Ontario Line emails | Globalnews.ca
For two years, government lawyers argued the release of two emails about the Eglinton Crosstown LRT and the Ontario Line could harm the economy.globalnews.ca
somehow in 2023 they thought they would have been able to open it

Not trying to plug a product, but on my computer I view images with an app called IrfanView, which allows resizing of pictures. You can take a big picture and make it a thumbnail if you want. But chances are, whatever software you're already using to view pictures, can also do this. Try it and see, before considering downloading something new. That happens with me. So ....we were led to believe that a handover happened like a month ago....now the opening date might happen "sometime this fall".
Being the TTC itself? What is the reason for the TTC's delay?
The grass is the least to worry about at the moment lolAlso, I drove along the Eastern section from Victoria Park to the DVP and the areas with grass on the tracks looks in rough shape. The grass is mostly yellow, there are also some weeds.
the level of incompetence and waste makes me sick. 5 years late. 5 YEARS!!Can't link to a timestamp for the board meeting video bc they're still streaming but the back and forth was:
Matlow: "Is there any prospect of a full handover by September or is there a legitimate concern that they may fail to provide us a line that is ready to operationalize by September?"
Percy: "The answer is it's still Metrolinx's decision [...] we're looking at still this fall to get something happening"
Matlow: "but not September"
Percy: "I think this September's a reach. This fall is plausible, and certainly by year-end. There's lots and lots of stuff going on that we need to fix to open safely and that's what we're focusing on"
Now there's a name I haven't heard in ages. I didn't realize it was still around. Not trying to plug a product, but on my computer I view images with an app called IrfanView, which allows resizing of pictures. I would assume the concern is more so the possibility of lawsuits, rather than PR issues. North Americans love to blame anyone but themselves when they get injured or inconvenienced due to their own stupidity.Considering there is 100% redundancy between the buses and operators who are working the 34 until opening day, and the operators and trams who are supposedly doing testing, I still wonder why they would not open the line to the public on a “if it works, great, but no guarantees” basis.
Sure, there will be bad press and customer annoyance whenever the system has a glitch… but that bad press must be less painful than having no lrt at all and people riding the bus by necessity.
I’m sure there are contractual reasons, and maybe some operational obstacles (such as clearing and securing underground stations whenever the line stalls) but we really are wasting an opportunity.
And for what - so the opening photo op is perfect?

Ps - answered my own thought - having to evacuate passengers when the system goes down without warning is probably not a good scenario. All the same , some of us would take the chance that we have to sit for a while.
