Can anybody confirm over the next 2 days if they see a real service frequency on the line, so that we can independently verify the claim that revenue service demonstration had begun?

We were in Wilket Creek Park this morning and the LRTs were passing by on the Eglinton bridge above about every 5 or 10 minutes continually at a decent speed.

But I have no idea if that was revenue service or just testing.

Mx selects a preferred bidder and enters some level of negotiations before it gets finalized and announced, I guess in the off chance it goes wrong and they need to select the next bidder. Given the bids closed in may and a decision is expected in the "summer", very likely the preferred bidder is known.

Eglinton Flats work.

Been trying to find where exactly the city limits are around Renforth Station (and up to the proposed Pearson Transit Hub. Both Google Maps and Apple Maps don't show.

From https://www.ontario.ca/page/official-road-map-ontario I can only get...

Maybe someone could supply a link to a site with more precise city limit placements.

Been told that the Line 5 LRT Renforth Station will be in Mississauga, but would like to make sure.

The city's boundary there runs down the middle of Eglinton Avenue. Everything on the southside is in Toronto, everything on the north side is in Misssissauga. You can see here on its City Council Ward Profile (its Etobicoke Centre):https://www.toronto.ca/city-governm...nities/ward-profiles/ward-2-etobicoke-centre/

You can also see it here on the neighbourhood profile (it includes a description of its boundaries): https://www.toronto.ca/city-government/data-research-maps/neighbourhoods-communities/neighbourhood-profiles/find-your-neighbourhood/neighbourhood-profile-detail/?id=NeighbourhoodProfiles-CityofToronto/Snapshot110&title=Neighbourhood Profile Data#type=filtered&filter=Select+a+Neighbourhood&value=Eringate-Centennial-West Deane (11)

The station will be north of the existing transitway stop, which is in Mississauga. The border is Eglinton Avenue.

google maps shows the borders at the right zoom levels but you can also use the city's GIS map https://map.toronto.ca/torontomaps/

Also looks like west of Renforth Drive we're in Mississauga, and east of Renforth Drive we're in Toronto, at the Renforth Station. Thank you.

In addition, with the Pearson Airport Transit Hub extension of Line 5, the LRT line could be wondering back and forth across both Mississauga and Toronto's city limits. No passport needed, thankfully

The city border is a line running from Renforth straight south(ish) to Eglinton and does not follow Renforth itself. Roughly where the roundabout on the current transitway is.
But the actual station alignment next to the current transitway station will be fully in Mississauga.

Correct. You can see that it is straight on the interactive map on the City of Toronto website. - https://map.toronto.ca/torontomaps/

One can coax Google maps to show city boundaries - but it's all user-sourced, so you have to take it with caution. In this case, it incorrectly shows the boundary following Renforth all the way to Eglinton.

BTW, thanks for that image @KhalilHeron - I don't think I've seen such a clear location plan before.

Gosh, I knew they'd changed the plan to move Renforth station from the east side (the Toronto side) to the west side of Renforth, and eliminate the stop at Commerce. But I hadn't realised they'd pushed it all the way west adjacent to the bus station; I thought it was going to be east of the bus station.

I'm not even sure why they are calling it Renforth then! Even the southeast entrance to the station will be over 300 metres from Renforth! They've been making fun of Greenwood station being so far away (about 200 metres) from Greenwood for years. And this is 50% further!

Isn't the station just going to be at the existing Mississauga Transitway Renforth Station?

Yes, there is no such thing as Commerce Station. Renforth Station is at Commerce Blvd and connected to the Mississauga Transitway.
