For patrons wanting NOT to go to Mt. Dennis Station, they'll have to cross the stroad intersection to transfer buses. We DO NOT have a pedestrian refuge island, just a useless misnamed "safety island" that has no "beg button" on it for those who get caught halfway crossing.

Excuse? Will be only used until the Eglinton West LRT extension opens. There is no opening date implied or suggested or dreamed about.

Yeah, I'm thoroughly disappointed by the decision making here, and at Martin Grove. I get trying to keep costs down, but this is not you build transit. Making it an inconvenience to transfer from one order of transit to another, despite these modes of transit intersecting (as a system*) is not right.

Especially since Jane is already a major corridor in the city, we should really be working on reducing car dependency and encouraging alternative, less traffic inducing methods of travel.

Heads up, the open house for the West Extension specifically related to the station boxes will happen on 24-Sep. This may be a good time to go in person to request more clarity on the lack of second exits on the opposite sides of the stations. I will try to attend the meeting if possible as well.

Clearly, the 'top' 'minds' of Metrolinx went to the George R. R. Martin school of vapourware projects.
