Short term pain for long term gain is usually not as easy a sell as it sounds because most people are more focused on what they are dealing with now rather than in some future time.

However, we do seem to have a city government currently that does not seem to understand how to interact with or communicate with the public very well.

The old blvd is being removed on Jasper between 102/103

Saw that too and thank god as it was well past due, but it's kinda sad as they just planted it with beautiful flowers 3 weeks ago... .. .

Regardless, good riddance.
It was nice when it was put in, but it was of a certain era and now feels quite dated and of course hasn't been maintained that well recently, perhaps in anticipation of removal.

I'm skeptical how much street changes will help this area, but the extra space could allow for wider sidewalks which seems to be a desirable and attractive thing now.

Full streetscaping work now.

2025 – 114-117 Street
2026 – 117-121 Street
2027 – 121-124 Street
The 2025 scope is full streetscaping; the work on 117-121 Street is utility work only, with full streetscaping occuring next year as you said. I can't recall if they started utility work from 121-124 Street yet, or if that's starting next year.

If they're gonna start 121-124st they need to do now. I drove by when I was in Edmonton last week and there was no construction whatsoever going on there
