Was at Chartier Last night for the Sugar shack dinner. Served family style. Pretty fun sitting with other people. Coming from ST Albert it was a quick 40 min drive.

The cost is $55/adult for a Quebecois feast featuring:

  • soupe aux pois
  • freshly baked Mother sourdough with house-made creton & pickles & whipped maple molasses butter
  • oreilles de crisse with smoked maple aioli
  • maple ham carving station
  • made to order crepes
  • puffed omelette with maple caramelized onions, Lakeside buttercheese, Swiss & provolone
  • tourtière with rhubarb relish
  • duck fat roasted potatoes & carrots
  • Gull Valley Greenhouse tomato slices with salt and pepper
  • pouding chômeur with Little Bear maple gelato
  • tarte au sucre
  • tire sur la neige

The incoming 4-week complete closure of Stony Plain Road and 124 St. is could substantially affect sales at the surrounding businesses. If you have time, I'm sure they would appreciate a bit of traffic once construction starts. Some of the restaurants most likely to be affected include:
Here's hoping the complete closure approach actually works at expediting build times.

Bodega may likely take the biggest hit since it's almost at the Stony Plain Rd/124 St intersection.

If eating at Menya Mori is my civic duty, then by golly I'll do whatever it takes.

Forget Dave's, I finally tried Rob's Famous Fried Chicken for lunch today and I was not disappointed. The chicken tenders are huge, crispy and perfectly tender in the middle. The fries are crispy, airy, and deliciously seasoned. The included Hollywood sauce is smoky and sweet and the perfect dip for both. I will be back.

FYI, I know delivery apps are not the greatest, but UberEats currently has a BOGO offer for the two-tender combo. It's a lot of food for $22 and perfect if you and a friend or partner want to try it out for the first time.

It bears the Panini quality seal!

Well damn, they're right up the hill from us and we haven't been yet. Will plan to remedy this at the nearest opportunity. Thanks for the recommendations!
