It seems to show Steeles and High Tech stations. It will be very interesting to be behind a fence right next to the station. I hope that is actually glass with markings to block the noise.

A Thank you to @eglinton1661 for sharing the renders.

No Thank you to the designers and the Minister who are actually proud of that work.

@innsertnamehere was spot on in his comments about an outdoor station that will be dirty, cold, noisy and all around unpleasant.

@APTA-2048 is equally on point in deriding both repetitive design but also an excessive use of light colours that are both dull and harder to maintain.

The stations look dull, uninteresting and unoriginal inside and out.

On top of which I have to keep staring at that awful T in a circle logo that detracts from rather than adding value to wayfinding/signage.

that "open cut" is actually the underpass under the 407. That subway platform is going to be incredibly loud being open air and sitting below 10 lanes of freeway with cars doing 120-140km/h.
Meh... many larger railroads have these open air platforms that are much larger than this single line. Beggars cant be choosers

If anyone hasn't had the joy of walking over the 407 I will save you the trouble and say it's one of the single louded experiences of my life. It's probably been 10 years since I've done it and it still sticks in my brain. It's easily the least-comfortable pedestrian experience I've had. This is not a fun place to stand:

I can't emphasize enough how disappointed I am with the open air station under the 407. It will likely be a bit quieter than the side of the Dufferin overpass, but the noise that highway generates is on another level compared to other highways due to the speeds it maintains and the number of vehicles travelling at those speeds. Metrolinx needs to enclose that station at least similar to how the Spadina line stations are enclosed on the Allen to shield the platform from noise.

well lets see what the final design drawings lead up to.
in the end beggards cant be choosers. we need this line built asap and cant afford to dilly dally with individual aesthetic preferences
i just got off the go train at langstaff under the overpass and honestly if i wasnt paying specific attention to the cars above it doesnt bother me. people are just trying to head from a to b; most wont care too much about an "enjoyable experience" anyways.

When do you remember drawings or actuals from Mx improving over time?

I'm not begging anyone for anything...........and this would not be my highest priority project by a long shot. , particularly north of Steeles.

I disagree entirely, I think the evidence shows that systems that care about good design, architecturally, aesthetically and in every other respect draw higher ridership/modal share when all other things are equal (catchment area, price, service frequency)

That makes one of you.

I disagree and I think the evidence shows otherwise.

source of your evidence.

by your metrics then the Sheppard line will be magnitudes more used than this extension will ever see.

Besides youre casting judgement based on a single early render, without any floorplans, detailed elevations or sections let alone any other renders post feedback from the community. If you have an issue please go to the open houses to voice them instead of prematurely complaining here
