the landscaping along the newer section of the Yellowhead. 156-ST Al trail is extensive. In 15 to 20 years that will be a forest corridor.
Some of the eastern stretches of the Whitemud were landscaped back in the 90's. It's almost scenic driving through there today and bonus is that the vegetation muffles a lot of road noise.the landscaping along the newer section of the Yellowhead. 156-ST Al trail is extensive. Just a couple of forum members in this thread, and google apparently.Wait what?! You're got it all wrong. Who said anything about a "park?" Not as in "where you take your dog to run around or fly a kite or throw a frisbee. This is loose term for a park, as in a memorial to meat packing industry of the area. Btw, it's been around for at least 5 years as it was built at the same time as the new Andrews transit garage. So to me, it is a pretty unique and special "park" to have in our city.
Could you please explain, I'm nor getting what you are saying, positive or negative?Just a couple of forum members in this thread, and google apparently.

Geez, this forum really does have a literacy problem doesn't it?![]()
Yup, the other side of 127th, out of camera, is already dug all the way down, I believe with a waterproofing membrane installed too. Massive hole!Looks like they are finally excavating the roadway that will eventually travel underneath the new 127th St underpass. Lots of mighty machines on site moving dirt.

Full disclosure, that's not an official name. I visited the park when it first opened and took some shots, and decided to put it on google maps. I couldn't find any actual name for it, so I just went with the historic term for the area. As for why I called it a park, don't judge too harshly please; I'm just an amateurPackingtown Park, according to Google Maps.
Let's see what they plan to do with this park.
I wonder how soon everything west of St. Albert Trail will be done.
Oh, the limit’s only 80? ….Whoops… Anyways, I drove it last night, and noticed that they also raised the limit to 90 east of the 156 Street overpass too. No highway signage installed yet, however. Paving is nicely done. Even at 130 it felt smooth as butterWB from St Albert Trail is now fully open with a 80 km/hr speed limit.
