Such a missed opportunity to build a fly over at 149th. Just bottle necks the traffic in St Albert Trail and on 156st. Oh well that will probably be added in 10 years.

I don't think so. 149 St ceases to be a major arterial north of the Yellowhead.

Yeah, the only real concern is people from NB 149th Street wanting to take a left onto WB Yellowhead. Could be mitigated by making St. Albert Trail a DDI for an easier turnaround.

The route was upgraded a few years back and did carry quite a bit of traffic up to 137th ave. yah it still wasn't 4 lane all the way but it still was busy. There was a lot of movement along that route for people accessing 137 east and west bound. If there was a back up on ST Al Trail it was a great alternate route.

This is where Culligan Water used to be. Photo made last week.

Okay, I was already so excited to cruise down the Yellowhead when it's fully free-flow, but when it becomes elevated through Blatchford? Oh that's gonna be sick 🤩
Alas, another year goes by with NO actual overpass construction either on HERE, 127 or Fort. Road.

Just a couple of thoughts:
- 121 St from the Yellowhead to Kingsway should be renamed to VIA Rail Trail
- 107 St from the Yellowhead to 118 Ave should be renamed to NAIT Trail

I’m not sure what you’re talking about. Major construction is starting this year on the middle section, as per the city’s website. They’ll be building the bypass roads at 127 Street and they’re going to start piling for the overpass at 121 St.

And Fort Rd is already a whole year into major construction, I believe it’s going to be mostly complete this fall.
