Does most of the population require a court appointed guardian to be allowed to move around in the streets? Mein Gott.
If TV shows are written with audible exposition because people are looking at their phones then maybe transit stations require some differentiation in their names so people don't confuse one for the other. 😋

People have been doing this forever, though. There's always those people who fly to Sydney, NS instead of Sydney, Australia. You can't help them.

Can someone remind me please why it’s not an option to divert eastbound 503/4 King-Spadina-Adelaide (Charlotte-York-Church) - is that (Spadina-York) Adelaide section not energized at present? I had the idea, possibly mistaken, that said section had been rehabbed some time back.

The Adelaide tracks between Charlotte and York have no OCS and are disconnected at Charlotte. There is also no NB track on Charlotte.

Nevermind looks like it’s been redone. However there is still the issue of no Northbound track on Charlotte.
An eastbound detour would go King, up Spadina, and east on Adelaide.

The problem is cars would have to use Queen westbound, and they don't want to confuse people (though I agree with the earlier that they should be using this as the detour, to better serve those near King, and relieve whatever what pressure they can on Queen.

I'm surprised they are putting 503 on Shaw, instead of just keeping it on Queen and then going south on Dufferin. There's plenty of other service on King. Heck, why not just loop it at McCaul - run it as a 502.

How long do expect Charlotte to be out of service as well the westbound King line and Adelaide to put in the track, switches and the overhead system???

Not sure what you mean about no OCS and disconnected track on Adelaide. There is a perfectly viable NEW track and overhead on Adelaide all the way from Spadina to Church. You are correct that Charlotte is a southbound street only. The TTC rationale for NOT using eastbound Adelaide from Spadina to York for the 504 eastbound diversion was that it would be 'confusing" for passengers as the 501 turns at York.

I know that this is unrelated to the current discussion but this is an interesting fun fact:

Kipling station is the southernmost TTC subway station
How do you figure that? Union is further south:

On my computer it shows that Kipling is lower on the page than Union. And that line is slanted from upper right to lower left. So Kipling is further south.

Is it showing up differently on your screen?
What I linked in the screenshot is how it displays on my screen. Kipling appears higher up on the map than Union.

How something shows on a screen is NOT how you measure degrees of latitude or longitude and if you really care which subway station is furthest south (which is of ZERO interest to me!) You should use proper measurements.

Correct, in which case you’ll find that Kipling is latitudinally further south. Very amateur stuff guys!
