Took this on the weekend as they were testing for Coldplay.

Er, silly question.. how did they get everyone's presumed "glow sticks" to change in unison with the stage lighting?
I found a video about similar technology:

The IR ones are cool to me because they're so simple, and they keep working when people move around within the arena.

Admittedly, that's pretty ingenious...

...my only concern here would be the disposal of such devices, outside of those taking them home with them for a keep sake. That is, I'd hate to see these all end up in a landfill after the concert moment is all gone.

@UtakataNoAnnex Coldplay uses a compostable band. Also, uniquely they have a leaderboard campaign to encourage returning them so that they can be recycled (cleaned, sterilized, and recharged)

They compared it to some other cities like Seoul (99%), Helsinki (97%) and Las Vegas (89%). On Night 1 it said Toronto = ??

Toronto had a 76% recycling rate on July 7th and 78% on July 8th.

I find the complaints par for the course for these events as many, if not most, arenas in NA take hours to exit by car such as the NE Patriots stadium outside Boston. Chris Martin was being cutesy! 😂🤭😜

I wonder how long it takes to exit something like Glastonbury, for comparison's sake...

@Mihairokov We left Glasto main site at 2.30pm on Monday and arrived in W. London at 5.30 pm which wasn’t bad coming up from the west country on a bank holiday Monday. Traffic moved smoothly, if a bit slowly, until the M3.

Glasto finishes at 5am(?) on Monday. People stagger their departure from midnight Sunday onwards though and it’s organized with military precision. The special road diversions etc. were cleared by 6pm on Monday. Special duty police were gone at 7pm. Not bad for 230,000 (hungover) people and their stuff.

What's the sound bleed like here? Any neighbourhoods up in arms and yelling at clouds over noise issues?
