It was the opening night of the venue - there's always going to be problems the first night.

Aren't venues like these supposed to have a test event to sort the kinks out.

Interesting! Sounds like the usual logistics of a brand new 50,000 seat venue. And as someone who kind of knows the area I imagine that there were folks who knew to take Carl Hall to Keele etc.

Why are urinals not a thing in Canada for big venues like this? Doesn't make sense to have men lining up to use portapotties when some sections with trough urinals like big venues and festivals in Europe have would speed up lines for everyone.

Though having only 2 water stations isn't really something that need a test event. I mean unless the end goal is to up the frustration and redirect people to concessions....

this is probably it. LiveNation can say they care as they have free water stations for people. But it won't affect their take at the concession stands.

Have seen a lot of people complaining about the walk from TTC to the venue and I can only assume they're suburbanites because it is not that long of a walk for anyone who has been to any kind of music festival or outdoor event before. It's a fifteen minute walk which I have done at that area a countless number of times in all weather.

I was at the opening concert. I sat in a floor seat, so I was not affected by the lighting problem. The walk back to Downsview Park station was controlled by TTC staff. It was a massive crowd funneled into a 20 metre wide path to go to the GO and TTC station. The path was not lit, which was a surprise. Imagine being in a crowd of 10,000 pushing forward, in the dark. People were well-behaved, but imagine if there was a sudden rush. If you go by transit, I suggest using the Sheppard West station instead.

I can't drink alcohol, but bought a large can of Mountain Dew. $8. plus tip.

Me four months ago passing by on GO. Oof, that looks rickety.

Me two months ago passing by on GO. Yikes. That looks super rickety, how long is it up for again?

Me watching TikTok’s from the concert. Why does this look like a future Netflix documentary in the making?

There is way more than 2 stations. I counted 6 of them and apparently there is actually 10 water stations.

It's just that they have no signage, i didn't see them on the maps and half of them are way in the back by the stage where the majority of people aren't walking by.

I'm not really sure what else they could do about 50,000 people all leaving the site at the same time.
I guess they could direct more of them to Sheppard West and Wilson station, and maybe add a lot more extra buses going in all directions leaving from them and the area near the site -- TTC, GO, and maybe York Region buses also. There is already a YRT bus (Route 105) that leaves from Sheppard West, and Wilson (Route 160).
