Yeah, looking at it again, it is a bit too tall. CN is slightly closer to the camera, by a little bit. I'll be more accurate next time.
It would have been a nicer addition to the skyline if it did look like that. Probably closer to 400m.Yeah, looking at it again, it is a bit too tall. CN is slightly closer to the camera, by a little bit. I'll be more accurate next time.
Hope you are correct, but there are a ton of condo buildings in this city that do not paint the underside of the balcony slabs, I live in one. It is more important on some than others and this is one of them due to the crisp white lines of the tower.I’m pretty sure that goes without saying or even asking…
I would bet the problem is a leak in (or through) the concrete and the time is being spent trying to pin responsibility for it onto the contractor or THEIR insurer - which would seem likely as it is a new pool. That's true if you have someone managing the situation who cares about getting the pool open again.
Having indoor pools above grade is not uncommon and most do not leak - certainly not within a year of being built.I think the pool is on the second floor, so in fairness the issue could be pretty complex. It's not just a hole in the ground lined with concrete like a resort in Collingwood![]()
If the pool is leaking it is probably a CONSTRUCTION problem and even if City staff were working on it 24/7 I bet it involves interminable discussions between construction companies, insurers and lawyers before any actual fixing can start. The City did not build the pool and once it is decided what needs to be done and who is paying for it, the fix itself is not going to be easy or fast if it involves replacing the membrane. I was also not blaming City staff for this.Hey, I'm just trying to be charitable to the city staff who I just accused of not caring about doing their jobs!
