Weirdly they haven't really been announcing these projects like they would with other major projects like the Ontario line

My cynical opinion? They will announce in a couple of months that there were no acceptable Qualifications and that the OSC will close at the end of some near future fiscal year. Hard to monetize a science museum.

Would moving the OSC really be cheaper than renovating the current space? Anyway, I have close to zero faith that Ford et al. will do right by the Science Centre. I hope I'm wrong.

Why is this surprising? There’s so much controversy about everything involving Ontario Place that they don’t want to give anyone an open for a news item. The faster people forget about this, the better for Ford and the OPC.

It’s the same principle as releasing bad news on a Friday at 4 or 5 in a press release.

Not so weird when you think it might be quite unpopular. Can you imagine Ford saying during the last election period saying, " if elected, I will move the Science Centre... ", followed by thunderous applause.

Gave the PDF a quick scan and saw our little multi-$billion waterfront project that is underway (Lower Don Lands)... was mentioned as little more than a (behind schedule) footnote.

Because .... "But much remains to be done". Gimme a break.

Pay a person well enough and they'll more likely say great things about you. News at 6:00!

Ontario Place 4 All has lost its battle in Divisional Court to have the West Island plan subject to an EA.

Not a surprise to me at all, there was virtually no chance of it being subjected to an EA.

Things are even more fun when Ford directly controls and hand picked the individuals who appoint judges in the province.
