The TBMs will travel from Exhibition to Don Yard portal.
After the last push through the portal headwall, the cutter heads will be retrieved at Don Yard. The shields will be buried underneath the portal (cut and cover portion). The backup gantries will travel back and be retrieved at Corktown South shaft.

Cheers for that. So my information about the westbound TBM is outdated. As for the Don Yard it seems we were both correct - the TBM is traveling there but not being extracted there.

As of a City report from this May, Metrolinx is still expecting 2031.

These projects tend to get delayed though. 2032 or 2033 is probably more likely.

Wow, this sounds a lot like the situation with the line 2 project (no I don't mean the SSE).

I think you meant to say 2031, but I also think that once tunneling for the downtown section is completed in 2 years from now, the project is probably 50% completed.

The delay is going to be so massive that it opens a black hole which turns time back to 2021!

This sounds like a comment for the SSE project circa 2023. Man we're all so jaded.

Based on a ride on the GO train, backed up by these images, I am convinced that Toronto has more of those concrete footings than any other city. The number that have been poured between Exhibition and Pape is awesome.

Call me crazy….but I feel like Metrolinx is pinning all its hopes on the Ontario Line to save its reputation….which right now is not just in the gutter, it’s doing somersaults on the way to hell.
