ThxThat wall is Front street, there’s another deep pit on the other side. The space between will be carved out with smaller machines then the TBM will launch from here in the opposite direction of the photo.

Is that true? I thought both are launching from Exhibition? That wall is Front street, there’s another deep pit on the other side. The space between will be carved out with smaller machines then the TBM will launch from here in the opposite direction of the photo.
Pretty sure you are correct. Corktown is where their journey will end.Is that true? I thought both are launching from Exhibition?

Lots of conflicting communications from ML. The original spec was for eastbound and westbound TBMs to meet at Queen.Metrolinx said (June 2025)...
"The first two Ontario Line tunnel boring machines (TBMs) will end their six-kilometre journey from just east of Exhibition Station at the Don Yard, which will serve as one of the subway line’s four tunnel portals."
So they are ending at the Don Yard? or are we talking about something else that I'm missing?

I will inquire.

What’s going on at the Don Yard?
Get to know the site where the Ontario Line will transition from underground to above ground.www.metrolinx.com
Not sure how this would make sense, TBM extraction at Queen would be a nightmare. Most recent info from MX I've read states both TBMs will launch eastward from the Ex and travel continuously to the extraction portal currently being constructed in the Don Yard, as others have stated. That was years ago wasn't it?

It is definitely not coming out at Don Yard. That we know for certain.travel continuously to the extraction portal currently being constructed in the Don Yard, as others have stated.

I believe we have a fantasy thread...This is probably worth a new thread, but I am very curious about the next wave of subway projects. Clearly a Sheppard extension is coming, but after that it's a big question mark.
OL extensions at both ends are possible of course. I would also advocate for a subway in the College/Dundas/Gerrard corridor; additionally, since the QQE LRT is going nowhere, it's interesting to think about whether some kind of waterfront line might feasible, perhaps connecting to East Harbour.
Then in the outer 416, still lots of corridors unserved. Jane and Dufferin come to mind.
