I have been wondering - are a lot of the workers for these tunnel projects local or are they flown in from Europe?

In Vancouver on the Broadway Subway most of the site supers are 3 months on/off from Italy and Spain. I'm guessing in Toronto we might have more local expertise considering we have had a steady stream of tunnelling projects since 2011.

Those are more helpful reports than we saw in the past, I hope ML can keep this up.

The most interesting data point to me was that the statement that X m3 of rock has been excavated.... a reminder that we aren't tunnelling thru soil here.

I have a potentially stupid question; was a station ever considered at strachen next to the Lakeshore Line? It seems like reasonable place for western LV especially next to all those condos and its a decent distance between exhibition and bathurst

Why?

With Exhibition station only a few hundred meters away it wouldn't be practical.

It may even be within the stopping distance of trains.
