From the Terrace Level of The Well this morning. June 11th. More businesses moving in on this top floor finally. Highly recommend the dentist, they have TVs on the ceiling to watch while they prod around in your mouth.

One Bloor West is wrapping up currently as it's reached its floor count, I believe. And while it did stumble out of gate, it's been going fairly steady for what it is ever since. As well as, it's in fairly secure hands currently...

...so it's a little unfair to compare the two projects that way, IMO.
Totally. Wondering more about the risks associated with this project to actually go to completion.

I was driving way up on Dufferin today and spotted this beauty just south of Eglinton.

"Beauty" is most definitely in the eye-of-the-beholder in this case. Just because it used glass-bricks doesn't make it any less of a thingmajig. I have so many questions about the choices made....

It really goes to show that this building will look great, not because of its cladding but because of the living cover. The glass bricks play a role of course, but too much of it doesn't work out in my view. It's like a checkered piece of fabric. Nice in a swatch or a pocket square but make a whole suit out of it and it's gaudy.

I hope that the development's financial troubles don't end up getting the plantings cut from the project. We'll be left with a gaudy checkered suit.

A little premature perhaps, but has there been any word on retail tenants for the base? The heritage building used to have a bunch of small businesses (and a Starbucks). It would be nice if the store sizes remained manageable for a small business to afford to lease. If they're going to be these large spaces that only banks and international chains can occupy, it's really going to kill the vibe of the street that was there before.

The rendering does seem to show individual shops in the brick building though the glass building on the right is slated to become a 2 story flagship for the well-known international brand POSONBYS.
