Looks amazing!
Curious why so many rivets? I suppose it's because the material is thin and there's a lot of angles and bends.
Hope the rivets (could be screws) don't form an entry point for water
or create streaky dirt or rust stains that will drip down from each rivet.
Likewise, I hope that the deep window ledges don't pool water or attract pigeons.

This is what I'm worried about as well. So many exposed fasteners is bound to cause issues. I really wish they came up with a better solution, but I guess welding is out of the question considering the scale.

Yet another sterile ground floor, brought to you by our Official Plan policies. Can we get some texture and grain where people can actually see it? No. Sterile glass is the only thing that supports vibrancy according to the City's urban design department.
*policy and market forces - A retailer wants the most possible window frontage to maximize the ability to attract customers into their space, so developers give them just that, or face completely vacant retail space while all the other surrounding window wall-fronted retail spaces fill up first.

Given the current retail vacancy rate I wouldn't expect this trend to change anytime soon. The lease we can hope for is for there to not be another bloody shoppers drug mart/dispensary/dental office at ground level that boards up their windows de to legal/corporate store design policy.

Can't wait to

So agreed, will be a feature of the the skyline.

They will have to come up with something to keep the boo birds away.

Glass frontages are not a requirement in the Official Plan. Nothing to do with the City.

I wonder if Gehry had the foresight to anticipate pigeons roosting and pooping at the base of the windows.
There needs to be some low-key pigeon spikes on the window sills to discourage them.

A few photos I took of Forma earlier this afternoon, after lunch at Ikkousha Ramen:

They're further ahead than I realized!

Given the market, are we going to see the other two towers under construction anytime soon?

There's only two towers total and we probably won't see the second one for awhile yet.
