TTC (or whomever ends up operating it) would run high frequency service (if necessary) to either Bayview and/or Brentcliffe Road though simply because turning back trains at a major transfer point is risky due to lengthening already long unload times.
Yes, the original EA has a crossover west of Laird Station and a pocket track east of Laird Station which is the easternmost station in the tunnel. So this is where the short turns will occur and it will be high frequency service from Mt. Dennis through to Laird and then less frequent service after you go east of Leaside.
