It still says says Eglinton West. The image date is June 2025. The sign has not been changed. Which sign has been changed?

I only see a single 2025 post with two pictures - https://urbantoronto.ca/forum/threa...-1s-metrolinx-norr.19747/page-11#post-2261159

Both pictures are of new entrances. I see no changed signage. Do you see an additional image? Sometimes there's stuff that's not visible to all users.
I give up. I never used the word "changed" in the posts you're objecting to. What I said was, "the new outside signage has been up since at least June". I'm talking about the signs on the new entrances. (Slight correction, I did say "they've already changed the exterior signs", but I meant they've "already changed" to using the new name on exterior signs, i.e. it's not something that will only happen in future, or is just starting now, the change started months ago.)

Really?

I said changed every time. And I provided a clear picture of the one of the old entrance. Surely you didn't actually think I was talking about signage that needs changing.

June 2025? It's been there for over 2 years, and the white "Cedarvale" on the glass for over 3 years!

Definitely still called Eglinton West at subway platform level.
One positive in all this is we'll (hopefully) be rid of that ugly font from one more station!

No the one in the original station still says Eglinton West, but the new ones in the new entrance say Ceadevale
Can someone tell me why we still need transfer machines? I thought you had to buy a ticket at a machine to go through the turnstiles. Or where these installed years before they stopped accepting tickets and tokens.

How long did it take to change the name of Downsview to Sheppard West? What about Sheppard to Sheppard-Yonge?
The TTC did it about 3 months before they opened the extension, but they had control and oversight about what was going on wher as with this, as it evolves, other organizations are turning it over to the TTC. The TTC most likely have delayed renaming the station until they have a firm date from Metrolinks.

You can still pay in cash at the collector booth, but the collector has to activate the fare gate for you now.

What are the chances Ford uses opening the GO part of Mt Dennis to claim they "technically" opened the crosstown this year if they can't open the whole thing by Jan 1?

Every subway station I have been to, you have the paper transfer machine as well fare gates and the Presto ticket machine to gain access to TTC service. Other than Line 5 and 6 stations, Presto cards/ticket were installed after the transfer machine All the new LRT stations only have Presto tickets if paying with cash to use the lines and this includes the connection to TTC subway stations.

Better get those subway paper transfers as a peice of the past before the machines are remove.

Ford can do what every he wants to do to look good at the end of the day and try to make his opening day remarks its open regardless if Line 5 will not be in service in 2025. Even though TTC is operating the Line 5, Ford can force TTC to open the line ahead of their schedule time. If things happen after that opening date go wrong, Ford will point the finger at TTC to say its their problem and time TTC is replace by X since was created by the Province in the first place.

For some reason I hadn't realized that - I should pay more attention while waiting for the bus/streetcar.

Why not just install ticket machines (that take coins and bills) at the entrances; the collector can still assist those that have difficult with the machines (which I've seen elsewhere).
