If you’re headed to the subway the new entrances to Cedarvale Station are acceptable, but definitely not for the bus terminal.

It’s strange how Metrolinx signage uses North and south for Line 1 directions but TTC uses terminal station names for Line 1 directions.

I presumed these secondary station entrances have elevators. They would be kind of pointless if they didn't.
Looking at photos I took of the Don Valley Station's secondary entrance, I'm sure I see an elevator.
Does anyone have a link to a layout of the secondary building, and the pedestrian tunnel under the intersection? I've wondered about it, and I'm sure I've never seen a map or diagram.

I wonder why it says, "WILL SOON be renamed Cedarvale", when they've already changed the exterior signs.
They need to say it's in the process of changing, and explain that both names refer to the same station.
(I'm not going to write ad copy for them for free; they'll have to figure out how to word it short and simple.)

Have they? I don't think they've changed many (any?) of the interior signs yet.

Addendum to the above: I just had a look at this site's forum for Cedarville Station, and saw the new outside signage has been up since at least June.

ALSO...
I looked for the opening ceremony that was mentioned (because I'd never heard about it, and the Cedarville forum doesn't mention it), and saw a NOW article from last week, where they had an UNOFFICIAL ceremony at the station!

I see no information in that thread (https://urbantoronto.ca/forum/threa...5-cedarvale-station-m-1s-metrolinx-norr.19747) saying that the outside signage has been changed. There's only one post since May 2004, and it doesn't show the original entrance.

That also doesn't show the outdoor signage for the old entrance. The NOW articles notes that the station name will change in the future.

There's a brief, very fuzzy, glimpse of the building in one of the UToob videos recorded today. It's hard to be sure, but to me it looks like there's still two words up on the signage, the second being a lot shorter than the first. See the 11:20 minute mark of youtube.com/watch?v=qrk-PBqiQe4

nfitz, you must have been looking at some thread other than the one in your own link. That thread was created in 2013. It has recent pictures from July, and a Google street view picture captured from June.

It still says says Eglinton West. The image date is June 2025. The sign has not been changed. Which sign has been changed?

nfitz, you must have been looking at some thread other than the one in your own link. It has recent pictures from July, and a Google street view picture captured from June.

Both pictures are of new entrances. I see no changed signage. Do you see an additional image? Sometimes there's stuff that's not visible to all users.
