The people riding the 161 west of Black Creek will wake up to a nightmare when they realize the 171 replaced it and brings them to a No Frills instead. Most of them won't care anyways as they mostly get off by Black Creek to transfer to the 89 for a much faster connection to Line 2. However they will notice their wait time goes from 15-20 minutes to 25-30 minute. I will really suck when someone to travel to Rogers Rd will have to wait up to 30 minutes and transfer to the 161.

Ok. I want to say as someone who uses UPX daily that when Mount Dennis opens this service will basically become a subway.
UPX will be a RAPID TRANSIT Line. Without One Fare Program transfers with your PRESTO.

However, the Mt. Dennis GO Station will accept One Fare Program transfers with the TTC.

The GO doesn’t run frequent enough to be considered rapid transit and will remain pretty useless for the majority of the riders.

^Between UPX and GO there is frequent enough service that I don’t bother checking the times and for those along it you often only go to Union or Pearson which are two of the biggest trip generators in town.
