For what it's worth, they were stopping at Lebovic earlier.

They had announcements on the platform telling people the car wasn't in service and not to board.

I do believe they were testing.
"The following train is not stopping here. Please stand back. Neither is the next one, or the one after that. It will never stop here. Go home. Le train suivant ne s'arrête pas ici. Veuillez reculer. Ni le prochain, ni celui d'après. Il ne s'arrêtera jamais ici. Rentrez chez vous."

Some of the line 5 bus routes are starting operations on Sunday October 12th

The TTC’s website says the 103 Mt. Pleasant North is being restored, with the 74 rerouted to Eglinton Station. Not seeing any of the other changes yet.

The notice is also up for the 88 South Leaside being rerouted onto Eglinton to serve Laird Station.

If anyone knows this area, yes it's the super congested 5-10 minute to get through area for eastbound traffic. This route will suffer in hell.

I tend to prefer walking this stretch certain times of the day...with more intensification coming, I expect chronic gridlock here in the coming years even with Line 5.

If they ever think about urban planning, they should build a bus lane through the Canadian Tire parking lot when that gets developed. It could even be underground or covered with development on top.

The stretch of Eglinton that the 88 will use eastbound is not that congested, not even close. Where it does bog down is sometimes at Leslie, and even then not really.

Westbound, on the other hand, can be slow and especially with the left-turn lane at Laird. Which is why they're building time into the schedule for it.

Every time I’m trying to get through that section in the afternoon, it takes 5 minutes to get to Brentcliffe and another 4-5 to get to Leslie if I’m not making that left turn. That third lane ends at Brentcliffe which forces all the cars to merge. The backlog from the Leslie left turn backs everything up. The 88 still has to go through that mess.

So, they could be prepared to open Line 5 Eglinton before the next board period on Nov 16?
I think they set it up so that they could switch on revenue service for line 5 at any time after the RSD, but the earliest time the RSD could end is Nov 7th.
This means they would have to complete the assessment for substantial completion and the bedding-in period before Nov 16th.....

Perhaps the TTC and MX will announce more details closer to Nov 16th
