The line (by the time I left for Scarborough, at 3ish) was deserted today, and the only display I looked, at the Warden stop, was stuck at 2 mins.
Maybe that was the revenue service demonstration.

LRT construction has nothing to do with what's on the sidewalk beside the road. (Well, maybe that's not true, they did take away all the bus shelters and street garbage cans back in 2010, and I'm still waiting for the cans, at least, to be brought back.) But anyway, those might be telephone poles, rather than hydro.Tell me those power lines in the background are temporary. You mean to tell me they did all this streetscapping only to keep the power lines above ground?
At least put benches on which the pedestrians can use to park themselves. Along with bicycle posts and trash cans.LRT construction has nothing to do with what's on the sidewalk beside the road. No one wants to work with Toronto hydro. They’ll hold up the project some other way. St Clair was a good example why burying the power lines should not be tied to any transit projects in this city.Tell me those power lines in the background are temporary. So how’s testing going on for the first few days to start?Revenue Service Demonstration
So in that case october is out of the question. Its going to be Nov or Dec now
Yes those power lines are for the LRT only and can be found on other systems, but over kill than most I have seen.Tell me those power lines in the background are temporary. You mean to tell me they did all this streetscapping only to keep the power lines above ground?
When Mayor Rob Ford was in charge, he ordered that the overhead hydro lines along Roncesvalles Avenue NOT be buried... to save money. Also means pruning of the trees to avoid the overhead wires. No one wants to work with Toronto hydro. They’ll hold up the project some other way. Considering speculation is that Revenue Service Demo started August 3rd, then it can only be a December 21st opening or later. August 3rd + RSD 30 days +Certification of Substantial Completion 14 days + 90 days bedding-inAugust 5th and still no 'three months advance notice' from metrolinx when the LRT will officially open.. so guessing maybe November, December or sometime in 2026? should I start a poll?![]()
The guy who said 3 month's notice is required is no longer around so who knows. Transparency is not a word in Metrolinx's vocabularyConsidering speculation is that Revenue Service Demo started August 3rd, then it can only be a December 21st opening or later. I believe the appropriate corpo speak is "he has moved onto better opportunities"The guy who said 3 month's notice is required is no longer around so who knows. Transparency is not a word in Metrolinx's vocabulary
