From the Board Meeting's live stream this afternoon.
Thats classic ttc and ML bureaucracy talking. Things can never be done concurrently and collectivelyUnbelievably, we are still unclear on the contractual obligations...From today's TTC board meeting, speaking to the contracts (that were set years back):
Interim CEO Greg Percy said:
He did clearly state these contracts were written up many years ago...so why are we only reviewing this now?
Amazing... it's like a timeline but without a timeline.
Did they say where they are at on this 'timeline'?
"In the final phase of testing and Commissioning". Not even done the T&C yetDid they say where they are at on this 'timeline'?
according to Smallspy the 14 day trial could potentially start on Wednesday, if I’m understanding it correctly"In the final phase of testing and Commissioning". Not even done the T&C yet![]()
Of course they aren't done yet. If they were actually trial running, there would be trains running at all service periods regularly."In the final phase of testing and Commissioning". Not even done the T&C yet![]()
Well the way I read that chart, the 2 orange lozenges represent a half month and a month, respectively. Even if the timeline is such that we are coming up to the "14 days" lozenge, I see room for at least 2 month-wide lozenges between the end of the one shown, and the start of revenue service. So that means 3 and a half months. And that means, not opening by September. And since target dates are NEVER met, probably not October either. Anyway, I'm in the mood for an orange lozenge now.
Yeah, based on the pale white lines (wonder if this was cropped from another internal document) this seems to be the rough schedule:Well the way I read that chart, the 2 orange lozenges represent a half month and a month, respectively. what is the "bedding in period"?Yeah, based on the pale white lines (wonder if this was cropped from another internal document) this seems to be the rough schedule:
- Trial running: Wednesday to mid-July
- Close out non-minor deficiencies by mid-July
- Revenue Service Demonstration: mid-July to mid-August
- Substantial Completion milestone: mid-August
- Bedding In Period: mid-August to early November
- Revenue Service: Late October (note the overlap)
- Close out minor deficiencies:

6. Next steps: formal trial run for 14 days, full revenue service demonstration for 30 days - then have a “bedding in period” to continue with testing (An extra period of testing recommended from the Ottawa LRT report)
Ford: Wont open until its 100% safe
Seems like a big emphasis on getting it right on opening day and avoiding an Ottawa LRT 2.0 on Eglinton
okay, I guess I'll have to read the Ottawa LRT report lol, anyone have a link?Referenced a few pages back:
