There are no transit connections in the area now so the station would serve little more than hundreds of locals. Opening it without at least the subway or streetcar would be a monumental misstep.

In the most recent budget, the Broadview streetcar extension is optimistically listed for 2030 completion; it has neither funded nor fully designed so I don’t expect it to meet that target.

As one of the residents who live in South Riverdale, it (perhaps selfishly) would be nice to have better access to Union and the GO network without waiting for a line that Metrolinx is building to finish.

But, it was actually looking at Mount Dennis that triggered me to ask this.

It was an odd kind of fun watching the press conference in the afternoon, with the Premier standing there saying nothing (even while talking) and then in the evening, watching him standing there saying nothing in the Rob Ford documentary. So much nothing, so many majority governments.
