Yeah, it is. This are will be nearly unrecognizable in a decade or two, which I'm not complaining about.
Before I joined UT and started watching this thread, I had no idea foundation work could take so long!
Same haha. It can be frustratingly slow for people like us that just want to see progression. Before I joined UT and started watching this thread, I had no idea foundation work could take so long!
Wondering how much this extends to the area. I’ve been watching as Metrolinx builds out the track from the DVP to Cherry st but unsure what project thread it belongs to. It’s not related to Corktown Station, only barely touches the river work on Lower Don Lands. So does the track extension qualify for East Harbour because of its need as a hub? Or is it specific to JUST Ontario Line (do we just have a general thread for that?)
Hes probably talking about the don yard, maybe even the moved RH trackThis is general Ontario Line thread. I put everything that isn't tied to a station in here as well as station related photos.

To join the Downtown Relief Line Facebook advocacy group: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=10757265438 To wit: The Metrolinx Transit green paper is online It does mention an E-W downtown subway. Comments are, as always, invited. I'm considering starting a Downtown Relief Line...urbantoronto.ca
I assume you're talking about the portal area construction where foundation & excavation work has been progressing. There hasn't been any new track laid here, at least for the OL.
In that case, it's better off here:Hes probably talking about the don yard, maybe even the moved RH track
Hahaha. I am not the only one. Thanks for validating that I am not insane.Time to switch to the right side on LSE trains headed into downtown. Had been watching the berm and rail construction for the past year on the left side.
It will definitely be open for GO train use long before the ontario line.Is the plan for this hub to still open as a GO Transit stop prior to the completion of the Ontario Line?
The hub’s wiki page suggests it will open as a GO stop in 2028, but none of the recent announcements make any mention to that.

The way Metrolinx operates, I doubt it. Just look at Mount Dennis, the GO Train/UPX side has been ready for eons but Metrolinx wont open that side of the station because the Crosstown is still under construction. It will definitely be open for GO train use long before the ontario line.
There are no transit connections in the area now so the station would serve little more than hundreds of locals. Opening it without at least the subway or streetcar would be a monumental misstep. Is the plan for this hub to still open as a GO Transit stop prior to the completion of the Ontario Line?
