Here are a couple photos I took of CIBC Square earlier today:

My God that's bleak. On the south side of Front from Union Station to John is a total re-do. Every inch of it is just brutal. As much progress as Toronto has made we still have lots of work to do to get closer to the Melbournes and Londons of this world. Union Park would be a start but we'd also have to complete re-build the public realm. We have a primitive concrete sidewalk, no landscaping, and the road is massively too wide. I was hoping we'd be there in time for the 2026 WC but realistically it will take another 20+ years to fix this street.

I think you are confusing a rendering from real life. There are actually structures where the "hill' is in the rendering and, of course, green shed roof is no more.
Theres going to be a small retail location available in the structure (labelled cafe on the blueprints), there will still be a hill on the backside of it:

We will see, or not. It WOULD be fun though :->

It’s literally in the photo @Natika33 shared that I was replying to. They’ve already built a scaffolding into the structure to shape the hill.
