Pictures over the last two weeks.
The concrete and structural steel seems to be complete. A little roof work, cladding, glazing and remove the two cranes are the next big milestones.

March 11
Yonge St. bridge south side roof 75% opaque, north side 100% transparent.

Lifting the south side top sections.

Feb 28 Bay St.
Partial drop ceiling and yet still open to the top. Nice. I don’t recall seeing this before.

Sat March 8 Concrete and steel appear to be be complete.

What’s under wraps?

I’m looking forward to the removal of the tarps and scaffolding.

Do they need the extra work space or is the grass area temporary?

Sunday March 9
Clean windows right & dirty windows left and maybe a little cloud/sun/angle effect.
Bonus shot or is that a penalty for the new concrete barriers on York.

Feb 28 Seneca Proud.
Hopefully the last of the white stuff.

Will this bridge have a connection to the bus terminal? I saw the bridge door from Union is under construction and is on the same level as the Great Hall but will commuters be able to cross the bridge to go to their bus? Getting to the bridge from Scotiabank Arena is too confusing. I hope this new bridge will be a more direct connection but I'm having a hard time picturing the interior layout on the CIBC building side.

Absolutely embarrassing trackbed. We just do not care. This country is never doing HSR...
Could not agree more! A pet peeve of mine. As someone who lives in a building overlooking the Union Station corridor, I hate the look of the tracks. Could they not clean up all the unused platforms, new ballast, concrete ties etc etc? I am hoping this willl all be cleaned up with the corridor work that will be done for electrification.

Fear not! The Union rail corridor is expected to go through a complete transformation.

Alongside the platform reconfiguration inside Union, plans have shown that most platforms will also be extended 1-200 metres out of the shed.

Not simple asphalt platforms either, it seems like the outer platforms will closely resemble the current ones being built on the south side of the station, including canopies and connections to the proposed pedestrian bridges.

After combing through the Union enhancement project documents, and a video Metrolinx published showing a 3d model of the station, I’ve put this together:

In this diagram you can see how different and modernised the outer areas of the station will be after this is done.

Is that a new bridge just west of the Bush Shed?
