How about why in tf do we have such a great neighbourhood where this crap is allowed. Is this such a crucial part to urban planning? We’ve had folks demanding 40-67 storey towers for years, demanding super density around soooo much transit. So where’s the vehemence that we’re utterly wasting all this space with dealerships?

At a minimum I should be allowed to be pissed we keep doing this.

Data centres been built for almost a decade - the old green P beside it was supposed to be a park. Nah, we get a decade of parked cars. And it’s not even parking that people can use. First structure built in the Port Lands? Porsche dealership.

If we can MZO the foundry and break height restrictions on the triangle lands, we should be able to get the dealerships out and make better use of the land.
I can agree with you about having some frustration about the dealerships and the single data center…not centers…but your posts are filled with hyperbole and completely unconstructive negativity about an incredible area and quite a well built project. I won’t be engaging with you further. I hope you can find some joy in this project as well as this neighbourhood rather than just hating everything.

All these spaces will be turned into housing eventually but the condo market is dead so it'll take a couple years before plans start going. There is so much development around this area with the Ontario Line coming up, Lower Port Lands, etc. I do wish things moved faster but sadly we don't have the ambition or the money like other big cities abroad.

They are filling up the silva cells on the north west side this morning and the interlocking on the south side of the laneway should be done today IMO.
