I think this would be a great location for Westrich’s next project.
It’s too bad the same criteria didn’t/doesn’t apply to the vendor…"The Buyer must commence construction within one (1) year of the Closing Date and complete construction within three (3) years of the Closing Date"
Happy to see this condition included. This ensures that whomever buys this lot can't just sit on it for years, which is the last thing this area needs
Doesn't that timeline pretty much rule out mid/high rise projects? More suburban frame for the downtown area? Predetermined stick ghetto?"The Buyer must commence construction within one (1) year of the Closing Date and complete construction within three (3) years of the Closing Date"
I was going to ask "is it only now that these lands are being marketed?"It’s too bad the same criteria didn’t/doesn’t apply to the vendor…
I’m sure Ian can make the numbers work, if he wanted to downsize their architecture standards…..lolI think this would be a great location for Westrich’s next project.![]()
Maybe not15+ years but I would think at least 10-12… The Quarters Redevelopment Plan was first approved in 2009.I was going to ask "is it only now that these lands are being marketed?"
Only 984 years to go then, can't wait! Thank you for this future insight! The Quarters Redevelopment Plan was first approved in 3009.
Fixed so you don’t - hopefully - have to sit on tenterhooks for an extra 984 years to see how things eventually turn out!Only 984 years to go then, can't wait! Thank you for this future insight!![]()
"It was formerly owned by an iconic Edmonton figure who left an indelible mark on the city."

Anyone know who that is? Why are they so cryptic about it?
