I hope that Southgate will actually be creative and do something different. Instead of just thinking what store can fill that space, why not think a bit more out of the box. The Woodwards/Sears side got reimagined and now we have a new gathering space and focal point with smaller retailers surrounding. Any kind of idea to reshape could be good, for example a brbn street idea of a restaurant food court comprising of a few resto's like California Pizza Kitchen, PF Changs, Kenny Rogers Roasters, TGI Fridays. Configure it to attach to the mall but perhaps connect the east upper level parkade to be designated parking for that food court. Then linked to that some special attraction on the upper floor of the Bay Space.
