my understanding is the train leaves Toronto, heads to Timmins, then heads to Cochrane, then heads to Timmins, then heads to Toronto. They will be maintained in the TMC.
The timetable posted above does not permit that diagram. That is my point. It would need to be Timmins or Cochrane (although possibly on alternating days Toronto-Cochrane-Timmins-Toronto-Timmins-Cochrane-Toronto, not Timmins and Cochrane, with the italicized terminal being the southbound start point.

Yeah, that is confusing. I guess we will need to wait for an official timetable to be released to clear that up.

Column : Will transportation woes ever be fixed in Canada and Ontario?

It's from a few months ago, but some observations related to the Northlander, the Canadian and the Sudbury-White River trains.

Do we think anything will change after the election? Even if there was a push to improve rail transportation in N ON we don't have the rolling stock to do it in any meaningful way.

Brief video glimpse of the new Northlander rolling stock.

EXCITING NEWS!

LEGO and Ontario Northland have teamed up to release a Polar Bear Express train set. I don't remember the massive plow or all the risks of rock avalanches when taking the route a few years back but this is exciting. The colour scheme is just amazing.

/s for those didn't catch it at first. I bet the designers at Lego were thinking of Ontario Northland's colour scheme when they designed this.
